IIHMR Announces Admissions to Fellow Program in Hospital and Health Management (FPM)

Fellow Program in Hospital and Health Management (FPM) is a doctoral level program leading to FPM (Hospital and Health Management). Working Health Professionals and fresh candidates can apply. The graeduates of IIHMR with PGDHM with experience also eligible. The program involves course work, data collection and dissertation on a an approved research topic. The FPM program is tailored to the individual requirements.

FPM has been approved by the AICTE, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

IIHMR and The Johns Hopkins University, USA have signed MoU to start Master of Public Health (MPH) Program at IIHMR, Jaipur. the academic session is expected to begin this academic year. Approval from MHRD due. Contact Dr S.D. Gupta at mph@iihmr.org

India Public Health Education Institutions (IndiaPHEIN) Network


A two day workshop was organized on "Moving IndiaPHEIN to Influence Public Health Education and Policy in India” during October 1-2, 2010 at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur with support from WHO India Country Office. The major objectives of the meeting were to formally establish IndiaPHEIN as a body in line with SEAPHEIN and share the draft Charter among the participants in the meeting. The meeting was successful in achieving the desired objectives and participants jointly agreed to establish and announce the IndiaPHEIN executive committee.



As decided in the meeting held in 2010, the process of registering the Public Health Education Institutions Network as a Society under the Societies Registration Act 1958 has been initiated. The major objectives of the Public Health Education Institutions Network is to promote public health as a core discipline that influences policies and strategies for improving health standards and quality of life of the people.



With this background, to promote the public health education in India, Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur proposed to organize the 2nd Annual Meeting of IndiaPHEIN to WHO-India country office. The Annual Meeting will be organized in continuation to the initiatives of WHO in order to promote public health education and training in the academic institutions and universities in the various States in India.
